Osaka, Japan, June 10, 2021 – Hacarus Inc, the provider of big insights from small data, today announced that DS Pharma Animal Health Co., Ltd. will begin nationwide rollout for vets who are willing to test the ECG monitoring device, co-developed between the two firms. The device is able to collect vital heart data using an innovative electrode device. Test results are then processed using HACARUS’ AI to provide timely and accurate insights.

Vets can apply to be a tester from June 9th. Trials are available at partnered clinics in Japan, with the goal of testing at least 40 dogs per clinic using a convenient 5-minute test. Testing is only available for dogs at this time. This AI-powered ECG monitoring device will provide veterinarians with a simple and effective solution while eliminating the need for complex procedures that stress or agitate the four-legged patients.

The development of the non-invasive ECG data analysis tool began in 2018 after HACARUS won the ‘New Business Solutions in Animal Health’ program, held by DS Pharma Animal Health. The tool has a unique design that collects data directly from the dog’s paw as it stands on top of the device. These readings are then analyzed by HACARUS’ proprietary AI system to provide fast and accurate insights.

Moving forward, HACARUS will continue its efforts to improve health practices for animals and those who look after them with Lightweight and Explainable AI.
