Workplace accident prevention & risk identification application launched after successful beta trials.
August, 1st, 2023, Kyoto, Japan – HACARUS, on a mission to bring the next generation of instruments to every industry, today announced the official launch of HACARUS Workplace Safety for KY (from Kiken Yochi, the Japanese name for accident prevention activities).
The application, accessible online, helps construction and manufacturing companies understand workplace accident risks using generative and Large Language Model (LLM) AI technology.
Using HACARUS Workplace Safety for KY, risk assessments of worksites can be had from simply inputting the work name and conditions, either by text or voice. Our AI will suggest occupational accident cases and danger points to consider unique to each worksite as well as generate a digital sheet ready to be shared or printed.
Danger points identified by AI is based on the data of about 3,000 occupational accident cases. Rather than only relying on the personal experience of workers, this allows even the novice and untrained worker to perform a complete risk assessment, benefitting from a compressive record of previous cases.

Accident prevention activities are conducted before daily work at sites across the manufacturing and construction industries, but the problem is that it easily can become a mere formality and overlooked task. In addition, because accident prevention activities are based on the experience of individuals and teams, there is also the issue that inexperienced workers cannot correctly extract danger points.
The beta version of HACARUS Workplace Safety for KY was released on May 8, 2023, and has been used by a total of 13 companies. Based on the opinions of customers who used the beta version, we have repeatedly improved the application and we are now ready to bring this solution to the market.
The application can be used on smartphones, tablets, and web browsers. It is also designed as a digital transformation (DX) tool for smooth transition as new labor legislation is enacted in 2024, aimed to reduce overtime work, by digitizing accident prevention work – a task which is today often done by hand on paper.
Price plan
When using HACARUS Workplace Safety for KY, an initial setup fee and a monthly subscription are required. Please contact us for more information.
Future policy
We will continue to improve and develop the application based on feedback from end-users who use the product in their risk prediction and prevention activities.
While this release targets the domestic market, and only supports Japanese language, HACARUS will also introduce a global version with English support in the near future.
