First demonstration of multi-camera image capture combined with AI analysis to be shown at the Smart Factory EXPO in January 2024 – enabling a reduction of inspection time by 75%.
December 21st, 2023, Kyoto, Japan – HACARUS, on a mission to bring the next generation of instruments to every industry, will unveil a new multi-camera imaging feature for its AI visual inspection solution HACARUS Check for FANUC CRX Series at the Smart Factory EXPO, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight for three days from January 24th.
Recently, there has been an increase in inquiries about AI visual inspection for large parts such as engine blocks. Therefore, HACARUS Check has been enhanced with this new feature which can accommodate heavy and large-sized workpieces while minimizing inspection time. The new multi-camera option, incorporates five cameras and lighting within the enclosure hood, reducing the inspection time to one-fourth.
In 2023, there has been a notable focus on new production technologies for large aluminium die-cast parts. With expectations for future adoption in electric vehicles (EVs), major manufacturers are advancing the introduction of large integrated die-casting machines. To leverage the strengths of HACARUS Check series AI software in die-cast parts, the multi-camera option has been developed to accommodate not only small parts but also large parts. It is also ideal as a verification machine before mass production.
