National Safety Week Campaign: HACARUS Workplace Safety For KY Initial Cost Waived

HACARUS launches limited time campaign for the National Safety Week, reducing initial costs from 100,000 yen (excluding tax) to 0 yen for the first 5 companies to sign-up. 

May 30th, 2024, Kyoto, Japan – HACARUS, on a mission to bring the next generation of instruments to every industry, today announced a campaign to waive the initial setup cost (100,000 yen (excluding tax)) for HACARUS Workplace Safety for KY, as part of efforts to promote Japan’s National Safety Week. The campaign will last until July 31 and is limited to five companies.

In addition, we will also consult with customers on the development of customized UI, that allows input of the same content and order as the customer’s own KY activity forms, and the ability to export these to Excel for download.

National Safety Week is held every year across the country to promote voluntary work-related accident prevention activities, raise safety awareness and establish safety activities from July 1st to 7th (Sponsors: Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Central Industrial Accident Prevention Association).

On May 27, the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare published the “Occurrence Status of Work-Related Accidents in 2023” report, included insights such as:

  • The number of deaths was 755 (down 19 from the previous year) – the lowest ever.
  • The number of deaths and injuries resulting in four or more days off work was 135,371 (up 3,016 from the previous year) – an increase for the third consecutive year.
  • In the construction industry, the number of deaths was 223 (down 58 from the previous year, (-20.6%)), and the number of  deaths and injuries was 14,414 (down 125 from the previous year, (-0.9%)), the lowest ever.
  • In terms of the type of accident in the construction industry, falls were the most common, accounting for 38.6% of the total number of deaths and 31.6% of the total number of deaths and injuries.

The outcome metric of the 14th Industrial Accident Prevention Plan calls for a reduction of at least 15% in the number of fatalities in the construction industry by 2027 compared to 2022.

  • Initial cost 100,000 yen (110,000 yen including tax) (Waived until July 31, limited to five companies)
  • Monthly fee: 30,000 yen (33,000 yen including tax)

HACARUS Workplace Safety for KY is an app that allows users to carry out workplace risk prediction activities (KY) using a  ‘ smartphone, tablet or PC. Based on the entered work site name and conditions, HACARUS AI engine searches for and suggests cases of industrial accidents and danger points by tapping into a large database of previous accidents. The unique reporting function that visualizes the quality of KY activities also helps improve the quality of safety management activities.
